Melting poles are caused by global warming due to the greenhouse effect and ozone-layer depletion. Refrigerants penetrating the stratosphere after leaking out of HVAC/R systems are partially responsible for this. Leakage often occurs due to flare connections that seemed perfect but became unreliable in time. Flares become unreliable due to re-use after component replacement and/or because of stress near the flare from vibrations during the installation's life time. This leads to deformation and cracking of the flare. With a patented solution the flare is replaced by a renewable copper trumpet ring as a seal. Renewing this copper ring after component replacement ensures a new and tight connection. The unique construction of the flare-adaptor avoids tension and force on the “flare-connection”. The ring is fully supported and only pressed down on the SAE-seat by a (stainless) steel core. Deformations and cracking of the connection does not occur. The lines are brazed on/to the adaptor with low silver solder.Features
